Venera to perform a recital at the Edinburgh International Festival in August / by Florence Eves

It has been recently announced that Venera will perform a recital with pianist Pavel Nebolsin at Edinburgh International Festival on 25 August 2017 at The Queen’s Hall. This will be Venera’s debut at the Edinburgh International Festival.

The programme will be made up of songs and piano music from their homeland of Russia, with works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glière, Vlasov and Vasilenko. Pieces include the Serenade and Lullaby by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov’s Pied Piper, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s ‘Enslaved by the Rose’.

The concert will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC Radio 3.
